Spartans replace one Ohio lineman with another in recruiting class
Coach Mark Dantonio did not have to wait long to fill the void he created in his 2016 Michigan State football recruiting class by cutting ties with a lineman who took part in a camp at Ohio State last weekend.
A.J. Arcuri, a three-star offensive line prospect from Olentangy Liberty High School north of Columbus, announced his verbal commitment Monday night.
Arcuri received a Michigan State offer after Gavin Cupp, a fellow three-star offensive line prospect from Ohio, had his scholarship rescinded for working out at Ohio State during the Buckeyes' Friday Night Lights camp in Columbus on Friday night.
MSU's 2016 class has 20 members, including eight from Ohio, and is ranked No. 5 nationally.
