South Carolina sends Clemson's Swinney flowers after father's death
The Clemson-South Carolina rivalry is one of the most intense ones in college football, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t respect between the two programs.
On Saturday, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney’s father, Ervil Swinney, passed away after losing a battle with cancer.
The Tigers coach traveled back home to Alabama, but when he returned on Wednesday there was something special waiting for him courtesy of South Carolina. The school had paid its respects by sending Swinney an arrangement of orange flowers.
