South Carolina coach Will Muschamp: 'Thanksgiving is a meal. It's not a day'

It's been a less-than-stellar season for the South Carolina Gamecocks football team, which is sitting in the middle of the SEC's Eastern Division with an overall record of 6-5 and a conference record of 3-5. And the team's head coach, Will Muschamp, does not appear to be taking his foot off the pedal with their matchup against rivals Clemson Tigers coming up this Saturday.

In an interview with SEC Country's Mike Wilson, Muschamp revealed his preparation plans for the big game — as well as some STRONG words about the Thanksgiving holiday:

“We’ve got practice in the morning. ... We’ll be in here early. It’s awesome. Thanksgiving is a meal. It’s not a day. We’re going to have a great meal and then we’re going to watch a little tape, then maybe watch a little more tape.

“We’ll get our walk-through cards ready for Friday, so it’s going to be awesome.”

As for his personal Thanksgiving after practice is complete:

“I don’t know yet ... When I sit down, I’ll figure it out.”

Well then ...

Just remember, kiddos, if you're going to play for Will Muschamp one day — you better be willing to consume one form of pigskin and one form of pigskin only on Thanksgiving before being granted permission for the others.
