Sources: BYU targets Oregon State DC Sitake for new coach

BYU has targeted Oregon State defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake to become its next head coach, sources told FOX Sports Saturday morning. There are still some details yet to be sorted out in the hiring process, however.

The 40-year-old Sitake, a native of Tonga, is a former BYU fullback. He also served as a grad assistant at BYU before spending a decade at Utah.

Sitake would replace Bronco Mendenhall, who is leaving to become the new coach at Virginia.
