Source: KU coach Reggie Mitchell leaving, expected to join Arkansas
Reggie Mitchell, the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator at Kansas, is leaving the program, a source told FOX Sports on Friday morning. Mitchell is expected to take a job on the Arkansas staff, the source said.
Mitchell spent six seasons at KU this stint after previously working there in the late '80s and early '90s. He began his coaching career at Central Michigan (1983) before heading to Ferris State (1984), Michigan (1985), Western Michigan (1986) and Kent State (1987), then establishing himself at Kansas. In addition to Michigan, has also coached at three other Big Ten schools -- Michigan State, Minnesota and Illinois.
The Mitchell departure was first reported by SI.
