Source: Jerry Kill to be Rutgers' next offensive coordinator

Former Minnesota head coach Jerry Kill, who retired in 2015 citing health problems, is expected to be hired as offensive coordinator at Rutgers, a source told FOX Sports Sunday.

The 55-year-old Kill, who worked this past season as an associate AD at Kansas State, retired in 2015 as a head coach because of complications from epilepsy.

Kill would replace Drew Mehringer as offensive coordinator, who left Rutgers last week to become Texas’ passing game coordinator. This will be Rutgers' eighth different offensive coordinator in the past eight years.

Rutgers 247's site first reported the news of the hire.
