Sooner QBs: Will Knight make it 3 years in a row as opening day starter?

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops hasn't decided who the starting quarterback will be for the Sooners' Sept. 5 opener against Akron.

Stoops has had seven quarterbacks take the first snap of the season since he took over in 1999.

If Baker Mayfield or perhaps Cody Thomas starts against Akron, that would be the eighth new quarterback to start the season. If Trevor Knight starts, it would make three seasons in a row he's been the No. 1 quarterback.

Knight debuted in 2013, rushing for more than 100 yards and also threw three touchdown passes in a win over Louisiana-Monroe. Last season, Trevor Knight started the season by completing 19-of-34 passes for 253 yards and a touchdown.

Here's a look at all the starting quarterbacks in their first game since Stoops took over in 1999.
