SEC commish sent Jonathan Williams handwritten letter after injury
The SEC's new commissioner has only been on the job for a few months but is already showing the kind of support that made his predecessor so beloved. Greg Sankey recently took the time and consideration to send injured Razorback Jonathan Williams a hand written note, which the running back posted on Twitter:
My commissioner > yours. Thank you @GregSankey pic.twitter.com/6J2ZYrcPnL
— Jonathan Williams (@Jwillpart2) August 28, 2015
"Thought I'd send a note after I learned of your foot injury," Sankey wrote. "I hope the recovery has already started and wish you all the best and a speedy return to full speed."
While Williams is out for the season after tearing ligaments in his foot, the senior recently showed tremendous leadership when he spoke up for the team's often crticized quarterback Brandon Allen, saying his injury would not affect the team as much as an injury to their leader on offense.
After that show of support, it's no wonder the commissioner of the league wanted to reach out to Williams and share some of the love.
