College Football's Top Plays: Week 3

It's Week 3 of the college football season, and players on both sides of the ball busted out out clutch plays to highlight a fantastic day of football.

Let's check out some of the top moments from the Saturday slate, which included No. 18 Louisville vs. No. 17 Miami, Georgia Tech vs. No. 14 UCF, and Tulsa vs. No. 11 Oklahoma State.

Going, going, gone

The Hurricanes originally went up double digits on Louisville in the first half, but the fireworks really started in the second half, when Miami broke off two 75-yard plays for touchdowns.

First, Cam'Ron Harris broke loose on the ground ...

Then, after Louisville responded with a TD of their own, Jaylan Knighton turned a wheel route into another 75-yard score.

From way downtown

Miami ripped off big plays on both offense and special teams on Saturday, as kicker Jose Borregales tied a school record along the way with a 57-yard boot:

And yes, the Turnover Chain made an appearance in the first half as well.

Peanut Punch!

No. 23 Appalachian State was on upset alert against Marshall, but it seemed as if the Mountaineers were going to make a game of it late – before a bit of defensive perfection.

With Appalachian State poised to pull within one score in the fourth quarter, Marshall safety Brandon Drayton punched the ball out of tight end Mike Evans' arm. The Thundering Herd recovered and won the game 17-7.

Charles "Peanut" Tillman even showed his appreciation to the play he helped make famous.

This endless loop of WR CJ Yarbrough's catch is everything and then some.

True freshman playmaker

Jordan Addison has entered the chat.

The freshman wide receiver came up big with this catch to put Pitt on top against Syracuse and make up for a drop earlier in the game.

The ultimate comeback story

Speaking of Syracuse, QB Rex Culpepper, who was declared cancer-free in 2018, connects with a bomb to WR Taj Harris for the TD on 3rd and 11.

Rex, you are a legend.

THAT DUDE

OSU WR Tylan Wallace put on a clinic in the win over Tulsa to kick off the season.

This interception by CB Mark Gilbert is just devilishly good.

Juke jam

Did Zay Flowers stutter?

Oh, he did. But then he kept going.

When it's time to take a knee

Notre Dame's Jordan Botelho just put the "Fighting" in Fighting Irish.

Ouch. That had to hurt.

Special day for Notre Dame

Botelho is back, and this time with a major block.
