Samford to face Auburn in 2019

(STATS) - Samford's football team has never defeated Auburn, but try, try again.

The Southern Conference program will play the SEC power on Nov. 23, 2019, at Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The intrastate Alabama matchup will be the 29th all-time meeting in the series, which Auburn leads 28-0-1. The teams last met in a 31-7 Auburn win in 2014.

This year's Samford squad seeks a return to the FCS playoffs after going 7-5 under coach Chris Hatcher last year and falling to eventual finalist Youngstown State in the first round of the postseason.
