Saban on Arkansas' Hunter Henry: 'Maybe the best TE in the country'

Praise can mean much more depending on who it's coming from. That being the case, the Razorbacks starting tight end may have just received the best compliment of his career from Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

“Hunter Henry is probably, in my mind, maybe the best tight end in the country,” Saban said Wednesday. “In terms of great size, he’s very athletic, he’s a very good receiver, but he blocks well, he does everything you could ask a guy to do.”

Saban didn't stop there either, as the SEC's best coach continued to praise Henry for his versatility and what it brings to Arkansas' offense.

“I think in this day and age, that’s kinda the perfect tight end that you can have,” Saban said. “He’s a fantastic player, and he gives them a lot of diversity because you never know where the guy’s gonna line up.”

This season, Henry has racked up 20 catches for 268 yards and one touchdown. Had quarterback Brandon Allen not overthrown Henry on two crucial late game passes, Henry would likely have two more touchdowns and Arkansas would be sitting at 4-1 on the season.

Despite the team's 2-3 record heading into Tuscaloosa, if Henry makes a play to help end Arkansas' seven-year drought against the Tide, all the season's woes will be forgotten.
