Rutgers WR Leonte Carroo picks up Senior Bowl invitation

A suspension and injuries limited Leonte Carroo's ability to impress during his senior season, but the Rutgers wide receiver will get to work out for NFL personnel people in January at the Senior Bowl.

The acceptance of Carroo's invitation was announced Tuesday along with 21 other players.

Carroo caught 39 passes for 809 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2015.

He is the 13th Scarlet Knight to be invited to the Senior Bowl and the first since Khaseem Green and Steve Beauharnais in 2013.

Other Rutgers players who have played in the Senior Bowl are Joe Lefeged (2011), Devin McCourty (2010), Clark Harris (2007), Brian Leonard (2007), L.J. Smith (2003), Mike McMahon (2001), Robert Barr (1996), Bruce Presley (1996), Steve Simms (1962) and Alex Kroll (1962).
