Rutgers fans start GoFundMe account to pay for coach Kyle Flood's buyout
By Dan Lyons.
There have already been a number of coaching changes at power five football programs this season. If one group of Rutgers fans has its way, their school will be added to the list. Rutgers lost 49-16 to Michigan on Saturday, and after the game, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to attempt to fund a buyout of head coach Kyle Flood’s contract. So far, $4,233 has been pledged by 77 donors.
As of this writing, a number of fans have given over $100, including one $1000 pledge. Things are heating up in Piscataway. The 3-6 Scarlet Knights have to beat Nebraska, Army, and Maryland to secure bowl eligibility.
