Report: Tucson awarded bowl game

For the first time since 1999, the city of Tucson will host a bowl game, according to multiple reports.

Arizona Sports points out that the Arizona Bowl will be played at the home of the Arizona Wildcats on December 29. The bowl will feature teams from the Mountain West and Conference USA.

If you do the count, that's four bowl games in the state of Arizona: the Ticket City Cactus Bowl in Phoenix; the Arizona Bowl in Tucson; the Vizio Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix; and the College Football Playoff Championship in Glendale.
