Report: Starting freshman safety Johnathan Abram leaving Georgia

While Georgia has been ready to move on to life after Mark Richt and Jeremy Pruitt for some time, it appears one player has decided he is not ready. Freshman Johnathan Abram has reportedly left the football program and has not shown up for the first day of spring class.

Abram started five games as a true freshman in 2015 after enrolling last January. Dawg Nation is reporting Abram is no longer a member of the Bulldog football program.

The freshman defensive back did not make Georgia's bowl trip due to "personal issues" following the dismissal of the former coaching staff. There has been no news at this time stating Abram's next move.

Abram recorded 25 tackles and 1.5 tackles-for-loss last season.
