Report: Oregon RB Thomas Tyner out for season following shoulder surgery
According to reports, Oregon running back Thomas Tyner will miss the 2015 season after having shoulder surgery on Friday. The news comes via his father, John Tyner.
Tyner, a junior, rushed for 573 yards and five touchdowns in 2014, including 124 yards and two touchdowns in the Rose Bowl against Florida State.
Tyner injured his shoulder last season against the Washington Huskies, but returned to action a few games later. The pain in his shoulder was still lingering and causing pain, thus the decision to have the surgery.
Tyner was expected to split time with sophomore Royce Freeman at running back. He is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the 2016 season.
