Via a report from ESPN, Baylor will play against Ole Miss in the 2020 season opener. The contest is tentatively slated to take place at NRG Stadium in Houston.
This game is fascinating on a number of fronts. For one, it pits a prominent Big 12 program against an up-and-coming SEC squad.
From a recruiting standpoint, both teams are fixtures within the state of Texas. Especially in Ole Miss' case, a game of this magnitude will likely draw more program visibility.
While no one knows how good either program will be in four-year's time, this should still be a tasty matchup nonetheless. The two teams have played each other only once -- with Baylor winning by a score of 20-10 in 1975.
