Report: Nova to get tryout with Giants

Rutgers quarterback Gary Nova was not picked in the NFL draft over the weekend, but he reportedly will have a chance to make his mark on the pro game.

NJ.com reports Nova was offered and accepted an invitation to try out for the Giants at a rookie minicamp scheduled for the second weekend in May.

What are the prospects for the Scarlet Knights' all-time leader in touchdown passes when he gets there?

That is hard to say. Of course, Eli Manning is entrenched as the starter, and last season's backup Ryan Nassib is a two-year pro who was a fourth-round pick in 2013 out of Syracuse. Former Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi is also on the roster.
