Report: Michigan State bringing in 200 recruits for Oregon game

Michigan State’s game against Oregon on Saturday is massive for a number of on-field reasons, eventual College Football Playoff standings among them, but it also has the chance to have a profound impact on recruiting. According to Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free PressMichigan State plans to host about 200 prospects across numerous classes and even sports when the Ducks come to East Lansing.

More, from Rexrode, who spoke with Michigan State’s Curtis Blackwell about the upcoming event:

Last season, Michigan State jumped out to a mid-game lead before Oregon, led by eventual Heisman winner Marcus Mariota, came roaring back to win the game in Eugene. The Spartans are early 3½-point favorites in what promises to be a highlight of the Week 2 schedule.
