Report: Kentucky lands Ohio State transfer lineman Marcelys Jones
The Kentucky Wildcats look to have added a highly touted offensive lineman via transfer in Marcelys Jones, formerly of Ohio State. The need to add depth intensified for UK following the departure of lineman Josh Krok earlier this month.
A former three-star recruit, and U.S. Army All-American participant, Jones was expected to crack the Buckeyes' two-deep this season after playing in only two games for the defending national champions last season.
Jones' high school coach, Ted Ginn Sr., spoke to Cleveland.com regarding his former player's transfer.
"I think he feels he needs to find another place to go," Ginn said. "He made the decision. He just needed to do something different."

While the Wildcat roster has been completely made over and the talent level is significantly higher since Mark Stoops arrival, Jones is much more likely to see the field in Lexington than in Columbus, which may have ultimately factored into his decision to transfer.
