Report: Could LSU pivot to Jimbo Fisher?

With reports of Les Miles potentially coaching for his job, rumors of a new coach in Baton Rouge undoubtedly will be swirling around.

A name that's already being mentioned for the job: Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher.

The Advocate writer Scott Rabalais (based in Baton Rouge) went on The Paul Finebaum Show to speak about Miles' future with the program. Rabalais believes if LSU did indeed move on from Miles, that Fisher would be a leading candidate for the job.

It would be a fascinating development -- considering Fisher won a National Championship with Florida State a mere two years ago. However, Fisher does have existing ties to the LSU program. He was an assistant coach in Baton Rouge from 2000-06.

This will surely be a fascinating narrative to watch for in the upcoming weeks.
