Report: Cal's Sonny Dykes widens search for new head coaching job

Cal head coach Sonny Dykes is becoming one of the hottest coaching candidates in the country.

After interviewing with the Missouri earlier this week, Dykes has been in contact South Carolina and Virginia about job opportunities at those schools, according to a report by the San Francisco Chronicle.

Dykes currently has a contact extension offer on the table from Cal, but has not agreed to the terms, per the report.

Dykes is coming off his best season at Cal as he led the team to a 7-5 record and their first bowl eligible season since 2011.
