Report: Arkansas loses DB coach to Texas
Via a report from FootballScoop, Arkansas has lost its defensive backs coach Clay Jennings. Jennings will leave Fayetteville and will instead head to Texas under head coach Charlie Strong.
Jennings has extensive ties to the state of Texas. He's coached at five institutions within the Lone Star State (TCU, Baylor, Houston, Sam Houston State, North Texas) and also played his college ball at UNT.

Simply put, this is a big loss for the Razorbacks. Jennings has a history of developing his players -- as evidenced by the fact he's sent nine defensive backs to the NFL throughout his coaching career.
Not only that, but he's also a fantastic recruiter. His vast ties to neighboring Texas helped Arkansas gain some traction when it comes to signing players hailing from the state. He was big reason as to why Arkansas was able to land Beaumont, Tex. native running back Devwah Whaley in this past recruiting cycle.
