Report: Allen reaffirms commitment to Mississippi State

Mississippi State recruit Dontrell Allen, out of East St. John, LA, has reaffirmed his commitment to the Bulldogs. Allen, a defensive back, told the New Orleans Times-Picayune this week "I've liked Mississippi State since around 2007, and that's my dream school." 

Allen, part of the 2016 class, was given an offer by Mississippi State after attending a recruiting camp at the school and committed on the spot. 

Allen is playing under a new head coach in his senior season at East St. John and credited the new staff for helping him improve his technique on the defensive side of the ball, coming out of his backpedal faster and getting a better read on routes. That improved skill set could result in Allen getting a bump in the rankings on the recruiting sites in the coming months.
