RECRUITING, REVISITED

Re-ranking the Top 10 college football recruiting classes (true freshmen only) based on impact so far:

→1. OKLAHOMA

Safety Tony Jefferson, wide receiver Kenny Stills, cornerback Aaron Colvin and fullback Trey Millard have all broken into the starting lineup, and defensive tackle Daniel Noble, linebacker Corey Nelson, receiver Trey Franks, running back Brennan Clay have all seen significant action.

→2. FLORIDA

Trey Burton has been phenomenal in the Percy Harvin role, and 16 true freshmen have seen the field.

→3. USC

Wide receiver Robert Woods (13 receptions) and cornerback Nickell Robey (two interceptions) are starters, and the rest of the two-deep is littered with true freshmen like wideout Markeith Ambles and safety Demetrius Wright.

→4. AUBURN

Starting running back Michael Dyer is averaging 4.8 yards per carry and is a big reason why the Tigers are undefeated; several other freshmen are on the two-deep defensively.

→5. TENNESSEE

James Stone and Ja'Wuan James have earned starting spots on the offensive line, and almost a dozen others are seeing time.

→6. TEXAS

Mike Davis was the team's leading receiver before suffering a knee injury, and Jackson Jeffcoat has been a beast at defensive end, but the Longhorns haven't gotten much else yet from their freshmen.

→7. UCLA

In part to injuries, Owamagbe Odighizuwa has ascended into a starting role at defensive end, while defensive tackle Cassius Marsh made a couple of big plays in the win over Texas.

→8. ALABAMA

A handful of true freshmen are on the two-deep, but Alabama's returning talent has made it difficult for most of them to get on the field.

Linebacker Christian Jones and cornerback Lamarcus Joyner have shown promise in backup roles on the FSU defense.

The Tigers have only a couple of true freshmen in their depth chart, and none in their starting lineup.
