QB Sefo Liufau: 'I think I sucked in the beginning of the game'

Colorado quarterback Sefo Liufau, a junior from Washington, did not have his best game during his season opener.

He threw an interception, did not throw a touchdown, only completed one play of 20+ yards and averaged just 6.8 yards per completion. He was 23-of-40 for 158 yards, good for just 3.58 yards per attempt. It was hardly an impressive effort, and during the weekly press conference for the team, he was not shy to admit his fault.

“I think I sucked in the beginning of the game,” said Liufau, according to CUBuffs.com. “We’ll be ready to play this week."

Colorado is favored to win against their next opponent, UMass, and Liufau needs a much better performance to prove himself in the Pac-12.
