Players and coaches react to the death of former Alabama RB Tenpenny

The sad story of Altee Tenpenny has reached its final chapter, as the former Alabama, UNLV and Nicholls State running back perished in a car accident Tuesday night. 

Tenpenny spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons with Alabama before transferring to the Rebels in May. By August, he was dismissed by UNLV and found his last team in Louisiana-based Nicholls State. Tenpenny was arrested just last weekend on charges of “possession of a firearm and discharging a weapon.”

Despite his troubled history, Tenpenny was a very popular player with several teammates and coaches. Wednesday's reactions to the news across the SEC have been heartbreaking.
