Pitt tabs Canada new offensive coordinator
It didn’t take Matt Canada long to land on his feet. Canada, an offensive coordinator who was recently fired by N.C. State, was hired by Pitt on Friday to fill the same role.
Canada coached with Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi when the two were on the same staff at Northern Illinois from 2000-02 and has served as the Wolfpack’s offensive coordinator for the past three seasons.
This season, N.C. State went 7-6 six and averaged 33.2 points and 412 yards per game.
Canada fills the void left by Jim Chaney, who left to become the offensive coordinator at Georgia.
