Some of the stars of Netflix’s Last Chance U met up prior to the Mississippi State vs. Auburn game.

Obviously this was a huge highlight of the game because the play on the field featured a bunch of low-lights….unless you’re John Franklin III’s Tigers.

Here’s to hoping his other return trip to Mississippi goes just as well.

In case you don’t know, Last Chance U is a six-episode documentary mini-series about the 2015 EMCC football team. Two of the stars, John Franklin III and Wyatt Roberts, are on the rosters at Auburn and Mississippi State respectively. Franklin III is the 2nd string QB for the Tigers and Roberts is a walk-on QB for the Bulldogs presumably running the scout team.

Of course, pictured above are Brittney Wagner, John Franklin III and Wyatt Roberts.

Brittney Wagner, the EMCC academic adviser and also a star on the show, is a State fan but wore Franklin’s EMCC jersey to the game.

With Roberts being a walk-on he obviously need not play in the game. Franklin III did see some action in the 2nd half. He did not throw any passes but did rush three times for 14 yards.

On the year, Franklin III has completed 6 of 10 passes for 76 yards with one touchdown. He’s rushed 19 times for 217 yards (11.4 YPC) and one TD.

I do not know what was said during their reunion meeting. All I have is pictures from our database. They took two dozen photos of the game and 12% of them were about Last Chance U.

Last Chance U really shaped a lot of Auburn fan’s opinion of John Franklin III prior to the season.

I know this is a picture of Franklin III, but here is what Andrew had to say about Wyatt Roberts:

Roberts has been a favorite of those who watched the Netflix series “Last Chance U” that followed the EMCC program throughout the duration of the 2015 season.

While he may have the “aw shucks” attitude off the field, Wyatt Roberts was a leader on the field and it showed. The players and coaches trusted Roberts to make the right decision to lead his team down the field. Although EMCC’s season was cut shorter than expected due to the brawl against Mississippi Delta Community College, Roberts seems to have his head on straight when it comes to leadership qualities.

He got engaged during MSU’s bye week.
