Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Temple Owls Preview

Penn State heads back home this week after a tough loss at Pittsburgh.

After a heartbreaking defeat at Pitt last week Penn State will face off with another in-state opponent. Up next is a battle at Beaver Stadium with the Temple Owls. The Nittany Lions will be looking to avenge last year’s upset loss suffered against the Owls in Philadelphia.

Despite the loss last week, the Nittany Lions can be proud that they didn’t give up and showed heart.

Penn State is sitting at 1-1 on the season and will look to close out the non-conference portion of the schedule with a victory over Temple. The Owls shocked the Nittany Lions last year and produced 10 sacks on Christian Hackenberg. With better offensive line play so far, and a new quarterback, the Nittany Lions will be looking for a different outcome this time around.

The Owls were upset in their season opener, losing at home to Army 28-13. They righted the ship in Week 2 by shutting out FCS opponent Stony Brook.
