Penn State gets commit from top prospect in Pennsylvania
Michal Menet could be classified as a must-get recruit in just about every way for Penn State. And James Franklin got the Exeter Township, Pa., four-star offensive lineman on Friday.
Menet is the top-rated recruit in Pennsylvania according to Scout.com, and he plays a position of need for the Nittany Lions.
Aside from Penn State, his other finalist was Duke, but he also had offers from Alabama, Florida State, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Ohio State, among others.
He is the ninth player to verbally commit to the Nittany Lions for 2016 and the third offensive lineman, joining four-star guard Connor McGovern of Lake-Lehman in Pennsylvania and three-star tackle Alex Gellerstedt of Dublin Coffman in Ohio.
