Paul Rhoads gives update on ISU recruit who shot himself

Paul Rhoads received an unsettling phone call last week when he was informed that his running back signee Sheldon Croney had accidentally shot himself in the hand.

"He is doing fine," Rhoads told the Ames Tribune. "There is going to have to be a healing process that takes place. With the medical reports we have right now we have are confident that by summertime, about when he arrives, he'll be able to do most everything everyone else is doing."

Croney is one of two running backs in Iowa State's 2015 recruiting class, and will be competing for reps in the Cyclones' thin running corps in his freshman season.
