Patrick Mahomes is getting named to all kinds of award watch lists

A few month ago, people weren't sure if Patrick Mahomes was going to win the starting quarterback job at then-lowly Texas Tech. Now, he's getting mentioned for multiple postseason awards.

Most notably, Mahomes was named to the Maxwell Award watch list, which honors the nation's top college football player He was also put on the Manning Award list, which goes to the nation's top college quarterback.

He's unlikely to win either award as a sophomore, but that doesn't mean he can't in the next few seasons.
