Oregon QB Adams says he's a 'gametime decision' for Georgia State

Oregon QB Vernon Adams Jr. is dealing with a broken right index finger, according to reports, and the injury may force him to miss Oregon's third regular season game against Georgia State.

When asked by the media if he thinks he'll play on Saturday, Adams replied, "I don't know, we'll see. It's a gametime decision. It's feeling good. I feel like I'm going to play."

Adams injured the finger before Oregon's second game against Michigan State and wore a glove on his throwing hand during that game.

Oregon backup Jeff Lockie would be the starter if Adams is not able to go. The question for head coach Mark Helfrich is this: Can Adams play through the injury without making it worse and are the reps worth the risk?

We'll find out on Saturday.
