Oregon, Auburn set for 2019 season opener

The Oregon Ducks and Auburn Tigers are officially scheduled to kick off the 2019 college football season with a game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The AdvoCare Classic will be played on Aug. 31 at the home of the Dallas Cowboys and will be a rematch of the 2010 BCS national championship, a game won 22-19 by Auburn.

The Ducks are not unfamiliar with AT&T Stadium, though it has been a house of horrors for the team. They lost to LSU, 40-27, in the 2011 season opener and to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff title game in January.

The addition of Auburn to Oregon's schedule fits in a series of premier non-conference games for the Ducks in coming years. The Ducks will play Nebraska in 2016 and 2017 and Ohio State in 2020 and 2021.
