The #19 Ole Miss football team notched their first victory of the 2016 season today against the Wofford Terriers. Ole Miss started the game out trying to throw screen passes to Van Jefferson, but quickly resorted to short passes to Damarkus Lodge and A.J. Brown.

The running game took a hit early on and struggled, but Judd and Brazley hit their groove in the second quarter. Freshman D’Vaughn Pennamon saw action as well.

Ole Miss did receive a blow to the receiving corp, with DK Metcalf breaking his foot in the game. Of all the positions to lose a player at, this is the one. The Rebels are deep at receiver.

Ole Miss takes on #1 Alabama in Oxford this Saturday, looking to defeat the Tide for the third straight season.

The new and improved Vaught-Hemingway stadium proved to be a home-field advantage for the Rebels, as they set the record for the most fans at a football game in the state of Mississippi. The announced attendance was 64,232.

Chad Kelly led the team on offense, going 20-for-27, 219 yards and 3 touchdowns. RS Freshman Jason Pellerin took over the role of quarterback in the 4th quarter. He threw a touchdown pass to freshman receiver A.J. Brown.

It appears as if the Rebels will attempt to redshirt Shea Patterson this season. Look for the true freshman to see a lot of time on the bench this season.
