Ole Miss Football: Three Rebels Named All-Freshman

The SEC announced it’s All-Freshman Team on Thursday. There were three Rebels who were named to the list.

While it was not the year most Ole Miss fans wanted on the field, there were some bright spots from the youngsters. Van Jefferson, Jaylon Jones, and Greg Little were announced to the SEC All-Freshman team.

Van Jefferson is a redshirt freshman and was third on the team in receiving in 2016. Jefferson caught 49 passes for 543 yards and scored three touchdowns.

Jaylon Jones was pressed into a more significant role at corner back when junior Ken Webster went down with a knee injury in the season opener against Florida State.

Greg Little was a highly touted offensive lineman out of Allen, Texas. Little split reps with junior Rod Taylor at left tackle, but gained more starts and experience as the year went on.
