OL Robbie Bell commits to Louisville

Louisville scored another piece to its football puzzle last week when it received a commitment from 6-5, 265-pound class of 2016 offensive lineman Robbie Bell.

The Georgia native had offers from Div. I powers such as Mississippi State and Tennessee, but told Gwinnettprepsports.com that the atmosphere at Louisville helped sway him towards pledging to the Cardinals.

“It just felt like a home away from home,” Bell said. “I’ve been telling other reporters I was going to wait until after spring ball, but I talked it over with my parents for multiple hours the last couple weeks, I’ve been praying about it, it just feels right. I just feel like I could call the place home. I really liked it and didn’t see the point in waiting.”

The versatile Bell played both guard and tackle last season for Mill Creek, but is expected to permanently move to the tackle spot this season.

Bell will be joined at Louisville by fellow Gwinnett County native, Peachtree Ridge defensive back Baylen Buchanan, who committed last summer, according to Gwinnettprepsports.com.
