Oklahoma State can redeem itself after late-season slide

Despite having an outstanding season, Oklahoma State went on a late-season skid that could leave a bad taste in Cowboy mouths when thinking about 2015.

The Pokes won 10 straight games to start the season before losing two of their last three, including a bad Bedlam loss to in-state rival Oklahoma. Still, Mike Gundy's squad did enough to earn a trip to the Sugar Bowl, and a win against Ole Miss out of the SEC would do wonders for the program.

Gundy and the Cowboys were stoked to make a New Year's Six Bowl.

"It's a tremendous lift," Gundy said. "As coaches, we always try to face the facts and find a way to make our players feel as comfortable as possible and get them to prepare."
