Ohio State-Rutgers tickets going for huge prices
Ohio State football is a big draw any time it goes on the road, but Rutgers appears to be taking advantage of the Buckeyes' brand to new heights.
NJ.com reports fans could pay as much as $550 for tickets to the Oct. 24 game in New Jersey.
On the secondary market, that might not come as a huge surprise, but this is the price Rutgers itself is generating through a dynamic pricing model NJ.com says "adjusts prices based on demand and ticket scarcity."
The least someone might expect to pay for admission to see the Scarlet Knights play host to the defending national champions? That would be $175, which is actually $10 less than the cheapest ticket for Penn State's visit to Rutgers last season.
Other tickets for Rutgers' seven-game home slate can be had for as little as $30 for the season-opening contest against Norfolk State while Washington State, Kansas and Maryland are in the $45-100 range.
