No. 22 Miami looks for bounceback against Savannah State

Savannah State (0-1) at No. 22 Miami (0-1), 6 p.m. ET (ACC Network Extra).

Line: No line.

Series record: Miami leads 1-0.

WHAT'S AT STAKE?

Miami desperately needs to get some kinks ironed out after Sunday's 33-17 loss to LSU — a game where the Hurricanes trailed 33-3. Savannah State will be overmatched at every position, so this is a good opportunity for Miami to both get some people more involved than they were against LSU and to react to what will certainly be a bunch of surprises the Tigers throw their way.

KEY MATCHUP

Miami QB Malik Rosier vs. Himself. It's not as silly as it sounds. Rosier has been taking heat all week for his 15-for-35 performance in Week 1. He missed on some throws, rushed a few others and didn't deal with pocket pressure well. The key this week for him will be accuracy. The Hurricanes are planning to use at least three quarterbacks this week, so Rosier will need to be sharp from the outset because his day should be over by halftime.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Savannah State: DB Isaiah Bennett. The senior had nine tackles last week in a 52-0 loss to UAB, plus recovered a fumble and was credited with 1½ tackles for loss. Expect him to be busy again Saturday.

Miami: DL Gerald Willis III. He was the brightest of the few bright spots for Miami in Week 1, with four TFLs. His first step is quicker than it's ever been, and he shook off some double-teams with ease. Plus, he's already emerging as a leader.
