New Rutgers TE debuts for Bengals before another departs

One former Rutgers tight end got good news while another received bad in Cincinnati over the weekend.

While Tyler Kroft's career in the NFL appears to be just beginning after the Bengals chose him in the draft earlier this month and he reported for his first minicamp this weekend, there is no longer a roster spot for Kevin Brock, who caught five passes for the Orange and Black last season.

To blame Kroft for Brock's fate is probably unfair, however. At the same time the Bengals announced waiving Brock, the club revealed it had signed four players. Among them was another tight end -- John Peters, who played at Division III Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati.
