Nebraska Cornhuskers Favored By Three Touchdowns In Early Lines Against Wyoming Cowboys
The Nebraska Cornhuskers are currently favored by more than 24 points over the visiting Cowboys this weekend.
It appears the slow start over Fresno State last weekend hasn’t impacted what betters think the final outcome of the Huskers’ game this Saturday will be. Though it should be noted the line has started to slide towards the Wyoming.
Huskers Illustrated reports the line opened around 25 points and has now moved to 24.5 on most betting sites. It should be pointed out that while most people believe the line moving in this direction means Vegas thinks Wyoming could make it a better game than it originally thought, it’s more the fact that people placing wagers are betting on Wyoming more than they are Nebraska right now.
Should an overwhelming amount of people start laying heavy money on Nebraska to cover 24.5, look for the line to move back up. While Wyoming isn’t expected to put up a great fight against the Cornhuskers, the Cowboys have already shown their mettle in a triple overtime victory over Northern Illinois.
Last season, Northern Illinois finished 8-6 and at the top of the MAC Western Division standings. Wyoming won just two games last season as it finished in the bottom of the Mountain West standings.
As Nebraska prepares for its second straight Mountain West conference opponent, it knows it will also be greeting an old friend. The Cowboys’ head coach is former Cornhuskers defensive coordinator Craig Bohl. Bohl has quite a rebuilding project on his hands in Laramie but there are some media outlets that believe his 2016 team could be a darkhorse candidate for a bowl game.
