Nebraska captain reportedly tells crowd after loss: 'I'm sorry we suck'
The Mike Riley era at Nebraska could’ve gotten off to a better start.
The Huskers are now 2-3 after falling to Illinois on Saturday 14-13.
According to multiple reporters on scene, 'Huskers senior offensive lineman Alex Lewis told the fans, “I’m sorry we suck” as he walked off the field in Champaign, Ill.
He was reportedly smiling and blowing kisses to the crowd as he said it.

Nebraska is set to play Wisconsin next Saturday.
