Mizzou lands three-star LB Tobias Little

After getting off to a slow start with their 2016 recruiting class, the Missouri Tigers now have their 12th pledge following the commitment of linebacker Tobias Little Thursday.

Little, rated as a three-star by 247Sports, picked Missouri over Clemson, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia Tech among others.

The Atlanta area prospect spoke to Rivals following his decision and discussed why Missouri was the right choice.

"I've been talking with coach [Craig Kuligowski] a lot and I know I can go up to Mizzou and contribute," Little said. "Missouri has great academics and some majors I'm interested in too. I just think it is a good program and a great place for me."

While he is only currently rated as a three-star prospect, Little has high aspirations for his professional career.

"Coach Kool and I have a good vibe. We talk about once a week I'd say. I know he sends people to the league. That's been one of my biggest goals my whole life is to make it to the league and be able to take care of my family," Little added.

It sounds as if the coaching staff believes Little can contribute to the defense in a number of ways once he arrives on campus.

"The defensive coaches think I'll be a good fit for them," Little said. "They like that I can rush the quarterback. They were comparing my moves to Shane Ray. I can put my hand in the dirt or I can stand up."
