Michigan's Ojemudia feared lost for the year with lower leg injury

Michigan's defense has been on a roll the past two games with back-to-back shutouts, but the news was not all good coming out of Maryland on Saturday. 

Coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters after the game Mario Ojemudia, the starter at "Buck" outside linebacker/end and one of the team's best pass rushers, suffered what could be an Achilles injury. 

“It’s a tough injury," Harbaugh said per the Detroit News. "It’s surgery and then he can’t do anything. Once you do rehab that, it comes back solid." 

Ojemudia, a senior, had five tackles against the Terrapins, including 1.5 for loss. He is third on the team with 19 stops and second with six tackles for loss and two sacks. 

He was replaced by Royce Jenkins-Stone in College Park. Jenkins-Stone has 12 tackles on the year, including one for loss.
