Michigan State Recruiting: 5-star WR Donovan Peoples-Jones names top 5
Michigan State recruiting made the top-five schools list of five-star 2017 wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones.
Although it hasn’t been the greatest season for Mark Dantonio, he has still been on the prowl, looking to add to Michigan State recruiting’s 2017 class. Five-star 2017 wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones seems to be a long-shot, but the Spartans just made his top-five on Sunday.

Michigan has been the rumored favorite for some time now and it’d be interesting to see if the Spartans could somehow land him and win the in-state battle. Ohio State might be a close second to Michigan. Michigan State, in my opinion, is third or fourth.
Florida and Florida Stature top programs, but I can’t seem him picking the Seminoles and the Gators are a more likely destination.
It has to make Dantonio feel good that he can still stay in contention for one of the nation’s best players even with a 2-6 season unfolding. Peoples-Jones is the No. 8 overall recruit and the top receiver in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports.
Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 192 pounds, the five-star receiver from Cass Tech in Detroit is one of the most dominant forces at the prep level in the country. Watching him play live, I’ve seen flashes of Calvin Johnson, although not as big, in him.
We may still be a few months away from his final decision, though.
