What went wrong for Michigan State football on Saturday afternoon against No. 11 Wisconsin?

The sting is starting to dissipate and Michigan State football fans have come out of hiding, yet watching Sportscenter and Big Ten Network are probably still off-limits. The Spartans were taken to the woodshed on Saturday afternoon, at home, to the tune of 30-6 at the hand of Wisconsin.

Plenty of things went wrong for the Spartans against the No. 11 Badgers, but then again, there were some positives to take away. Donnie Corley followed up his best game ever with yet another 80-yard performance. He’s becoming the Spartans’ No. 1 target, alongside maybe R.J. Shelton and Monty Madaris.

The defensive front-seven was solid against the run, holding the Badgers in check and not really allowing anything big or to the outside. The run defense is one of the best in college football.

However, there was plenty that did not go in the direction MSU would have hoped. Here are just a few things that I noticed which led to the Spartans’ blowout loss.
