Michigan State Football: Betting odds vs. Northwestern

Take a look at the betting odds for Michigan State football’s Week 7 matchup against Northwestern.

Not feeling so confident when it comes to Michigan State football lately? You’re definitely not alone there. After three straight losses against beatable opponents, the Spartans look lifeless, but Mark Dantonio claims there are no locker room issues.

It doesn’t make much sense, though. This Michigan State team is one of the most talented under Dantonio but has yet to really look like more than a 6-6 or 5-7 team. Outside of the Notre Dame victory in Week 3, this team has shown no signs of offensive life.

Tyler O’Connor may be the issue, but Dantonio could replace him with either Damion Terry or Brian Lewerke under center this week. A new starter at quarterback is exactly the change this anemic offense needs, but will that happen?

If you’re looking to put money on the game Saturday, good luck to you. If you’re anything like me, you’ve had trouble predicting the outcome of Michigan State games this season. However, if you’re entertaining the thought, we are here to help with the betting odds.

Here are the betting odds for the Michigan State vs Northwestern game:

Line: Michigan State -7
Over/Under: 42

Surprisingly, the Spartans are giving Northwestern seven points as Vegas feels fairly comfortable Michigan State will win this one by more than a touchdown, for some reason.

Maybe Vegas sees something that we don’t? Either way, Michigan State is favored and should be able to beat Northwestern on Saturday afternoon. Key word: should.
