Michigan season football tickets sold out

In what can probably be described as the least surprising bit of news of the year, Michigan announced this week it has sold out of football season tickets for 2015.

That pretty much seemed inevitable once the school introduced Jim Harbaugh as its new coach in December, but it is still quite noteworthy considering how many tickets the department of athletics gave away last season to maintain the school's streak of games at Michigan Stadium with at least 100,000 fans that began in 1975.

Those efforts were not enough to prevent Ohio State from taking over the national lead in attendance last year, but all signs are pointing toward a return to the top this fall for Michigan.

Fans looking for tickets are not out of luck, however. The school is offering multiple-game packages now and plans to make single-game tickets available in early July.
